Quick answer

Choose the attachment after confirming the item being carried. A badge holder, key, phone patch and access card place different loads and orientation requirements on the same lanyard.

Breakaway and detachable are not the same

A neck breakaway is intended to separate under tension, while a detachable front buckle allows the user to remove the carried item. A product can include one or both features, but they should be listed separately in the specification.

Check orientation before production

Install the real holder or a measured sample during approval. Confirm whether the printed logo faces outward when the attachment hangs naturally.

Frequently asked questions

Which clip is best for conference badges?

Bulldog clips, swivel hooks and double-clip setups are common, but the best option depends on badge width, slot position and whether flipping is acceptable.

What is the difference between a breakaway and a detachable buckle?

The breakaway is a release point for tension; the detachable buckle is for convenient removal of the lower attachment.

Can a lanyard carry keys?

Yes. Split rings, snap hooks and suitable clips can be used, but the weight and daily use should be considered.

How can we keep a wide badge facing forward?

Use a balanced holder and consider a double-clip lanyard with two attachment points.
